TURN OFF THE ENGINE, OR IDLE?
Given the choice of idling for a few minutes or turning your car off, you should always choose the latter.

HIGH COST OF LIVING?????
With the financial crisis going on, the men around have no peace of mind,going out of home in the early hours of morning and coming home late. Many are thrown out of their jobs all of a sudden. Some dont have the means to go back to their homeland. Housewives stay at home all alone only to find themselves going into depression.They are not in a siutation to even question their husband of the happenings around because of the prevailing tension going on.
The situation is going quite out of control when here the houseowners want to increase the rent by twice the amount, the schools want to increase their fees by90%, which is very unfair. When the petrol prices has gone down,why do the schools think of increasing their bus fees or in other words, use the new scheme of OUTSOURCING THE SCHOOL TRANSPORT FACILTY.
THIS IS UNFAIR.
Where is humanity gone? Not everything is calculated in terms of business.

GO GREEN
THIS ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN FOR AN ESSAY COMPETITION BY MY SON ARSHAAD AND HAD WON THE 3RD PRIZE.
Recycling paper is the first and a simple step in going green ; upto 60% of office waste produced in the UAE is paper waste, including writing paper,newspaper and ,magazines.
Mineral Water Company MASAFI, for instance has an ongoing plastic- recycling campaign in 30 schools across the UAE.Bins to collect used plastic bottles are placed next to dispenser and the processed plastic is then sold to 180 certified dealers for non-food recycled plastic applications.
Energy efficiency is also an area where reduced consumption is beneficial.Ex---switching off computers when not in use and using sunlight for illuminating work areas.
Water efficiency is a must here. With the rising cost of water, it makes sense to conserve water usage. A leaking tap can waste 10,000 litres of water in a year (fix it immediately).
Cleaning supplies is another area with healthier and cheaper choices. Use white vinegar rather than commercial cleaning spray is one such cost saving switch business can make.
